Brattleboro Retreat Transport Program

We have partnered with the Brattleboro Retreat to provide ground ambulance transportation of mental health patients from healthcare facilities throughout Vermont to the Brattleboro Retreat. This program, established in 2022, is meant to reduce patient wait times while waiting for transportation to the Brattleboro Retreat.

Previous to this program, there was only local transport units able to get patients to the Retreat as they were able to. But now, Rescue Inc has a dedicated transport ambulance and specialty trained personnel to handle these transportation requests.

Our personnel receive specialized training through the Brattleboro Retreat for providing their mental health patients with the most comprehensive treatment and transport possible while en-route to the Retreat.

This program has transported patients from every hospital in Vermont to the Retreat and is expected to continue to do so for a long time.

Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Program

This program is made possible through a collaborative partnership with Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Our teams conduct home visits on a by appointment and on-call basis for patients of Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. This program started off targeting post-surgical orthopedic patients in an effort to prevent these patients from readmission in the hospital after surgery. Our specialized teams are trained in providing care at home to accomplish this mission!

Now- our teams are expanding their reach and are beginning to treat respiratory patients in their homes. Patients with comorbidities are at risk for further illness by being admitted in a hospital environment, so we aim to prevent that admission in the first place.

Community health programs are growing throughout the nation- and we are proud to partner with BMH to offer one of these programs right here in Southern Vermont.
