Advanced Life Support transport services are those that require more than medical monitoring.
These patients typically have life-threatening conditions or injuries that make them at risk for deterioration.
Our ALS transport services are divided between AEMTs and Paramedics
AEMTs can administer intravenous fluid, some life-saving medications, anti-nausea medication, and can perform some advanced airway procedures including quantitative end-tidal waveform capnography.
Paramedics are able to administer pain medication, monitor electrocardiac activity, continue life-saving medications and advanced airway procedures initiated by the sending facility. Paramedics are also able to facilitate endotracheal intubation, and are competent with the use of intravenous medication pumps for the administration of life-saving medications.
